You should see presenter screen (and audio should work as well). Skype for business web app mac 05:34 Skype for business web app mac 05:34. On a plugin pop-up windows, click “Allow”
If Skype for Business Web app plug in is not already installed, you will see familiar screen from which you will need to download it and install it before joining/jumping in the meeting Open Skype meetings app and paste skype meeting link into the app:Ĭlick Open, and it will bring up Skype for Business Web App (possible with pop-up as in the picture bellow, on which you would hit Cancel)
Skype for Business Web App for Mac OS X (black screen workaround)ĭownload and install Skype meetings app: (this part you will need to find on your own, a google search produced several results.īut it needs to be the Skype meetings app, not the Skype For Business app.) I used this link: IE11 installs SkypeMeetingApp.msi to C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\SkypeForBusinessPlugin\16.2.0.511.Īpparently MS don't have a "all users" version of the MSI either yet people are crying out for it - so i've read on forums.Hey Eric, just following up on this look what I came up with (looks like my pictures are not pasting in, so apologies for that): This is ok for a short period however i can see this becoming a pain later on. If the user opens IE11 and opens the meeting, the MSI will run and install however if they use Chrome, the MSI downloads but will not install so we are asking staff to use IE11. I have managed to get the MSI to install without inputting any Office365 details. Unofficially we still have our old tenant sat dormant and syncing from OnPrem AD in the background however asking users to use their old details is just going to confuse matters. This is something our group of schools haven't officially got as they have been concentrating on GSuite only and maybe something i need to bring to their attention
We have installed SfB as part of the Office 2019 Pro collection however our staff would need to login with their Office365 account.
We run mandatory profiles which doesn't help the situation either which are deleted when a users logs off the computer.
As we are only lite users of the MS products and have Office2019 installed, is there a way to install the SkypeMeetingsApp.msi to ALL USERS rather than just to the local user profile as our users on the domain cannot install MSIs so we are unable to take conference calls from those who are wanting to meet with out staff.
